Introducing Trinketing by THETRENDBLAZER, our very own collection of uniquely handmade jewelry using a mixture of new and upcycled trinkets collected over the years. The term “Trinketing” is coined by combining the words “Trinket” and “Tinkering”. Being an avid jewelry lover since I was a child, whenever I come across pretty and shiny trinkets, be it bought or passed down by family or relatives, I would carefully collect them in my miniature treasure boxes. People tend to discard inexpensive jewelry and accessories whenever a part of it is missing or tarnished, but I see it as a piece of interesting trinket with new potential. Instead of throwing away, I thought, “This is such a waste. Why not upcycle them?”
And so, Trinketing is born. I first started making jewelry as a therapeutic pastime. Making jewelry is fun and rewarding for me and as more and more designs are conceived, I decided to incorporate Trinketing as a new collection of THETRENDBLAZER as I love the idea of upcycled jewelry, and I believe that sustainable fashion is the way to go for a greener earth.
The designs listed here are all made-to-order, and many of them are limited edition i.e. only one, depending on the number of trinkets I have. Each piece is designed and handmade with love by me. Let’s all play a part in supporting sustainable fashion.
